As another reason to persue/further your education, this particular one reaches out to me the most; impact on society. If you want to further your education in nuerology or anatomy, you could possibly be first to cure certain terminal diseases or even cancer, nothing is far fetched or impossible, even if it does sound like a total fluke. Let's say you work in psychology and discover that a brain has far more segments than could ever be imagined, or if you work in astronomy and see lifeforms on some distant planet, point is, discoveries are possible, and impacts are inevitable.
