My Semester Goal

Alright, so my goal may not be an educational one, but its certainly a landmark I'd like to be able to accomplish. What my goal is composed of is mostly music and ny ability to learn or memorize. I would hope to learn Capricho Arabe by the end of the semester, and with that in mind, in hopes that my memory doesn't start slacking, this song is my checkpoint, my landmark, my milestone, and for once, I'd like to accomplish this on my own instead of missing out on this opportunity.

Hamlet Summary: Acts 1 & 2

To start off these summaries, this play is highly recommended, but is meant to be lengthy and overlyexplained, but as Shakespeare has said in this play, "There's method to his madness." In Act 1, the events are portrayed as historical fiction, meaning that there is truth to this story, but mostly in the historical parts of these events. But anyways, the exposition is the threshold of the first couple of scenes, introducing Hamlet, his friends, his knights, and his "beloved" mother and loathsome uncle who recently married his deceased brother's wife (that's some nasty stuff), and of course, Hamlet is dealing with this sudden change, along with the death of his father, all within a period of nearly 2 months. Hamlet is both suicidal, borderline insane, but almost justified, if it weren't for moral code. Hamlet's guards had recently encountered what appeared to be the ghost of the deceased king, and decided to tell Hamlet so that he could speak to hi...

Hamlet Update

Earlier today in my British Literature class, we read Act II, Scene 1, which was about how Laertis' father doesn't trust him in his own school, so he appoints a spy to badically talk trash about him and try and spread rumors around school to try and get a reaction out of the students. Now, normally, this would surprise me, but knowing that parents want to know more about their children at school mkes this a lot easier to understand, but knowing that his own father wants to talk trash about his own son is seemingly pitiful at an attempt to even try such a thing. Then again, I never know what the rest of the play has in store.

Today's Productivity

So today, I made tons and tons of research about the possible schools id be willing to apply to, and right now, i have a couple of possible ideas on where i would consider, i decided on CalArts, Los Angeles School Of Film And Music, and tbere might be more soon.

What I Did Today

Well, for my English class, I walked there, as usual, and sat down only to find out that we were to head to the library for an unknown reason. We waited for everyone to show up so the sub could take attendance, and we headed out. When we got there, we were greeted by our counselors who had a presentation ready, along with another class just eagerly waiting to get the presentation over with. As soon as we sat down, I immediately knew what it was about. The words "Financial Support" gave it away. We were here for scholarships and FAFSA and all that good stuff. They did their whole presentation, explained how to create an account and so on, and I honestly zoned out due to the fact that I had already done this. I signed up for the General Education Scholarship and filled in the application, i got pretty far, but hadn't started to the actual completion of any of the requirements because i was helping those around me. Before i knew it, the bell rang and we were outta there. I d...

I'm In Charge

Some high school students need to be told what to do all the time and reminded or threatened when they don't get the job done.  Independent work can be challenging, but I like it because it gives me time to work at my own pace, and take time to get things right. Independant work relies on me and my skills to manage the use of them. Usually, working within a certain amount of time ends with the result of a last minute, half assed assignment, but independant work with nothing but a request to turn it in makes things a little easier. The whole point of working independently is to know how well you can do things on your own, and i like that.

My attempt at the Canterbury Tales questions

1. The pilgrim that i would most like to meet from the Canterbury Tales would have to be the Monk, because of his unorthadox way of life, a hunter/bada** prayer would be of most interest in my book.
